MTN Nigeria to Pay Shareholders N15 as Final Dividend

Telecommunication company MTN Nigeria Plc has declared a financial dividend of N15 per ordinary share for the financial year 2025, payable to its shareholders.

In its audited financial statement submitted to the Nigerian Exchange, the telecom giant delivered N1.11 trillion for 2025, reversing the previous year’s loss as performance improved significantly.

MTN Nigeria, which had been in a dividend holiday, rebounded with a bang, first declared N5 per ordinary share in the second half of 2025, and topped it up with an additional financial dividend with April 8 as the qualification day.

“A final Dividend of N15 per 2 kobo ordinary share has been proposed by the Board of Directors of MTN Nigeria Communications Plc. subject to the appropriate withholding tax deduction”, the telecom company told the Nigerian Exchange in a disclosure.

MTN said the amount will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on 8 April 2026.

On or around 5 May 2026, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at 8 April 2026, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts.     NGX Flags Unusual Share Price Swings, Urges Caution
