COVID-19 Infection Rises to 18,480 as NCDC Records 745 New Cases. Amidst gradual easing of the economic lockdown, Nigeria has recorded 745 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 18,480.
Africa’s COVID-19 Cases Increase to 215,000 – WHO. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that the COVID-19 has continued to spread in Africa since the virus was first detected on the continent in mid-February 2020.
At 9,302 COVID-19 cases, Nigeria now third most infested in Africa. The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said there is 387 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, and 2 deaths have been recorded. The NCDC confirmed that this has taken total confirmed cases to 9,302.
Africa’s COVID-19 cases hit 123,000 – WHO. The World Health Organisation (WHO) on Thursday reported that COVID-19 cases in Africa as at May 26 had risen to over 123, 000.
