WHO Warns of Rapid Rise in Global Antibiotic Resistance Bacteria are rapidly developing resistance to antibiotics, the World Health Organisation (WHO) warned on Monday, with one in six laboratory-confirmed bacterial infections now caused by antibiotic-resistant pathogens.
