According to NCDC, 85,375 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the country, Lagos records the highest number of sample tests with 27,616 COVID-19 tests conducted since inception of the virus.

NCDC data show that after Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Edo States conducted 11,385, 5,331 and 4,760 COVID-19 sample tests, respectively.

Lagos remains the epicentre of Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases with 6,266 cases of the total 13,873 cases.

Despite the rising cases, there is an ongoing move to ease economic lockdown, though inter-state movements are restricted.

But then, there is low compliance, people are moving from one state to another. Some law enforcement agents have turned the rules on lockdown to meal tickets.
