Bitcoin Rises, Exchange-Traded Fund Inflows Signal Demand

Bitcoin (BTC) price ticked up to $83,757.15, closely tracking a 1.01% gain in the total crypto market cap, primarily driven by market-wide momentum amid a lack of major negative catalysts.

BTC’s gain nearly matched the total crypto market cap’s 1.01% increase, indicating the move was part of a broad, low-volatility market lift rather than a coin-specific catalyst.

The uptick reflects a modest, risk-on drift across digital assets, with Bitcoin acting as the market anchor. Sustained moves in total market cap versus Bitcoin’s dominance will gauge whether this is a true beta move or the start of independent momentum.

Bitcoin’s spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have Assets Under Management (AUM) totalling $108.87 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.

While this marks a slight drop from $111.11 billion last week, it represents a significant increase from $101.2 billion a month ago, underscoring a pattern of net inflows over the medium term.

This is neutral to bullish for Bitcoin, as it indicates that institutional capital remains anchored despite short-term price fluctuations.

Traders said the month-over-month growth suggests foundational demand that can provide price support, even if weekly flows show minor profit-taking.

Bitcoin is the top asset in the trending “US Strategic Crypto Reserve” category, reinforcing a positive, long-term institutional narrative.

Leveraged positioning provided an accelerant to the market-driven move, while macro sentiment remains cautiously constructive.

The immediate path hinges on key technical levels and macroeconomic data. Bitcoin faces resistance at $84,200, near the 20-day average. Holding above support at $82,500 is crucial.

The upcoming U.S. inflation and jobs reports will be the primary external trigger for volatility this week. The structure is neutral-to-bullish above $82,500 but lacks strong volume confirmation for a decisive breakout.

Price reaction to the $84,200 level and the market’s response to the incoming U.S. economic data. The 24-hour gain was primarily a beta-driven recovery, amplified by a derivatives squeeze and supported by a favourable institutional narrative.

Traders are now watching whether Bitcoin can decisively reclaim $84,200 on rising volume following this week’s key U.S. economic data releases. #Bitcoin Rises, Exchange-Traded Fund Inflows Signal Demand Chief Economists Expect Global Economy to Stabilise
