Cardano Price Rises 7% on x402 SDK Integration Optimism
Cardano (ADA) price inched higher by 6.93% in 24 hours to $0.243 on Monday, outperforming a broader market rally and primarily driven by a utility-boosting integration with the x402 payment standard.
ADA has seen a sharp increase of more than 73% in trading volume over the last 24 hours in the crypto market, with a total transaction value of $870 million.
The Cardano Foundation announced on September 21, 2026, that ADA and Cardano Native Tokens are now integrated into the official x402 SDK.
This enables apps and AI agents to pay for API calls directly with ADA via web requests, expanding its utility in the emerging agent economy.
This is a tangible development that could increase demand for ADA as a payment rail, providing a fundamental reason for bullish sentiment.
The move occurred alongside a strong day for crypto, with the total market cap up 5.03% and Bitcoin up 6.06%. Technically, ADA broke above the 50% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.234, with its RSI (61.38) indicating building bullish momentum.
Cardano benefited from positive market-wide sentiment and confirmed a key technical breakout, which likely attracted momentum traders. The immediate path depends on holding the $0.234 level (former resistance, now support).
If buying pressure continues, the next target is the recent swing high at $0.248. The key risk is a loss of momentum, which could see a retracement to the $0.221–$0.225 support zone.
The short-term bias is cautiously bullish but requires confirmation above $0.234. A close below $0.234 on high volume, which would invalidate the breakout and signal a potential pullback.
Cardano’s price rise is anchored by a concrete utility upgrade and amplified by favourable market conditions. The key test is whether it can sustain gains above new support.
Last week, the Cardano Foundation announced it joined Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program under its Blockchain track.
The collaboration will focus on developing solutions for cross-border money movement, B2B transactions, settlement processes, and stablecoin integrations.
Traders said the move was a significant institutional endorsement that could accelerate Cardano’s integration into traditional financial infrastructure.
Partnering with a global payments’ giant like Mastercard enhances ADA’s credibility and opens doors for real-world payment use cases, potentially driving long-term demand.
