Access Holdings Climbs Ahead of Scheduled Earnings Release

Access Holdings Plc stock market value increased slightly over the last five trading sessions on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), compared with a sharp surge in the banking index.

The banking index inched higher by 4.43% week on week as investors continue to rotate into financial stocks, with momentum that excluded Access Holdings’ soft gain.

The largest financial services company with the lowest stock market valuation underperformed its immediate rivals in the Tier-1 group despite pulling significant trading volume.

According to data from the Nigerian Exchange, Access Holdings Plc share price closed at N29.15 at the close of the trading session on Friday, when 13.358 million units valued at more than N387 million were traded.

Trading volume hovered between 13 million and 32.27 million units, reflecting a sustained shareholder movement pattern in Access Holdings Plc.

The share price is tracking its 52-week high at a 19% discount, but has accelerated sharply above its 52-week low of N19.90 in the same period.

The market value of Access Holdings Plc’s 54.375 billion shares outstanding rose by 0.5% to N1.585 trillion, reflecting weaker investor perception due to an unimpressive dividend payment record.

Stockbrokers also noted that investors’ sentiment has been affected by a delay in earnings release. Access Holdings Plc told the Nigerian Exchange Limited that its Interim Audited Financial Statements for the period ended June 30, 2026, would be delayed until Sept.

The group attributed the delay to the ongoing finalisation of the audit process and the need to obtain the Central Bank of Nigeria’s approval before publishing the Results.

Magsamen said in a disclosure that it obtained regulatory approval to file the Results on or before September 30, 2026, subject to receipt of the required regulatory approval.
