XRP Price Holds Tight as Goldman Sachs ETF Holdings Plunge
Ripple (XRP) price held at $1.50 on Monday, underperforming the broader cryptocurrency market’s positive price action following a sharp rally.
With about $6.8 billion in transaction value, XRP trading volume has increased slightly to about 5% in the last 24 hours as investors continue to boost holdings.
The market remains strong, with top cryptocurrencies posting strong gains. Bitcoin price has topped $78k, Ethereum is above $2.48k, Binance Coin is holding at approximately $704, and XPR is holding at $1.50.
The total cryptocurrency market capitalisation grew by 0.81% to $2.70 trillion across a 24-hour trading volume of $109.6 billion.
In a report, Goldman Sachs’ Form 13F filing with the U.S. SEC shows that it held 5 spot XRP ETFs with an aggregate value of approximately $86.5 million.
The current holding suggests a decline in Goldman Sachs’ interest in XRP after the token’s significant price depreciation.
Goldman Sachs had previously been the largest institutional holder of spot XRP ETFs, with a position size of $153.8 million in Q4 2025, but fully liquidated its holdings in Q1 2026.
Specifically, it held 2.238 million shares of Franklin Templeton’s XRP Trust (XRPZ), worth about $25.41 million; 2.209 million shares of Bitwise $XRP ETF, valued at around $25.76 million.
Goldman owns 1.759 million shares of Canary Capital XRP ETF, worth approximately $19.49 million; 806 thousand shares of 21Shares XRP ETF, valued at roughly $8.21 million; and 378 thousand shares of Grayscale XRP ETF, valued at about $7.65 million.
