Fidelity Bank Climbs Ahead of Q2 Earnings Scorecard

In pre-earnings bets, Fidelity Bank Plc climbed by about 2% in the Nigerian stock market ahead of the second quarter of the financial year 2026 earnings release.

Data obtained from the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) showed that the tier-12 bank share price increased to N22 amidst significant trading volume with more than N1 billion in transaction value.

With about 47 million shares traded, Fidelity Bank attempted to break out from N22 resistance level, rising from N21.65 per share the previous day.

The bank share price has been capped below N22 points until Tuesday, when heavy volume and transaction value drove its moderate market re-rating that pushed valuation near N1.40 trillion. .

The market anticipates Fidelity Bank’s earnings scorecard to be published ahead of the regulatory deadline, with mixed expectations across the Broad Street.

At the close of the trading session, the market value of Fidelity Bank Plc’s 63.174 billion outstanding shares rose by 1.62% to N1.389 trillion – 9% below its 52-week high in the Nigerian bourse.
