Hyperliquid Gains as Protocol Buyback-and-Burn Tightens Supply

Hyperliquid (HYPE) price rose 4.43% to $54.70, significantly outperforming Bitcoin’s +1.05% gain, primarily driven by strong protocol fundamentals and deflationary token burns.

The price reacted to sustained ecosystem activity and deflationary tokenomics, with $760.2K worth of HYPE burned in the last 24 hours and steady protocol revenue.

Hyperliquid’s price rise aligns with robust on-chain activity. The protocol continues its aggressive buyback-and-burn mechanism, removing $760.2K worth of HYPE from supply in 24 hours.

This creates direct deflationary pressure, supported by trailing gross revenue holding steady at $1.34 billion for a third straight month.  The token’s value is being underpinned by real protocol utility and a shrinking supply, not just speculation.

The move appears driven more by organic buying interest and fundamental strength than a single external event. The immediate focus is the $50–52 support zone, which social chatter highlights as a key accumulation area.

The next concrete event is a 433k HYPE token unlock scheduled for August 6. If buying pressure continues and the price holds above $52, a move toward $58–60 is plausible. A breakdown below $50 would invalidate the bullish structure and could lead to a test of the $46 level.

The trend is attempting to reverse from recent lows, but conviction needs to be confirmed by holding above key support. Price action around the $52 level, and trading volume around the August 6 unlock.

The combination of relentless token burns and solid protocol revenue provides a fundamental floor for HYPE, allowing it to rally against a subdued market Nigeria Revenue Service Backs Unified Crypto Framework
