Zenith Bank Surges Ahead of Earnings, Interim Dividend

Zenith Bank Plc’s 41.069 billion outstanding shares were valued at N4.681 trillion, 14% below the 52-week high on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).

In anticipation of the earnings release for the half-year performance and interim dividend, the bank saw a moderate repositioning led by buy-side actors in the Nigerian market.

Zenith Bank recorded increased trading volume over the last five trading sessions; however, price movement was limited, signalling possible off-market transactions boosted momentum.

The bank has seen sharp price fluctuations, which have reduced its market value amid a lack of significant catalysts and rising regulatory risks.

Trading data from the Nigerian stock market showed that Zenith Bank share price climbed to N114 on Friday as 41.520 million units valued at N4.713 billion were traded. The bank gained about 3% in a week as buy-side actors began to re-enter positions.

Zenith Bank commenced a closed period on July 1, as the board of directors is scheduled to meet on July 29 to deliberate on the release of the first-half 2026 financial statements.

In line with the post-listing requirements, Zenith Bank Plc informed its shareholders, the NGX, and the investing public that the Board of Directors of the Bank is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to consider the Group’s Audited Financial Statements H1-2026.

The meeting will also consider, amongst other matters, the proposal to recommend an interim dividend to shareholders. The closed period will run until 24 hours after the Audited accounts is released to the public.

Regulator expects that no Insider of the Bank and their connected persons may directly or indirectly deal in the shares of the Bank in any manner during the closed period. Zenith Bank Rallies as Investors Chase Upside Potential
