NASD Securities Exchange Falls to N950.66bn

It was a tough trading outing at the NASD over-the-counter (OTC) securities exchange market for trading shares of a number of unlisted companies as investors’ net worth suffered yet another weekly decline.

According to a market report, the NASD OTC securities exchange market falls to about N951 billion following price depreciation in a number of unlisted companies’ shares.

NASD Index closed the week with a negative movement as market return decreased by 1.06% to close the week at 722.16 points against 729.92 week on week.

According to trading data, traders and investors lose ₦10.22 billion, a downward trend that dragged the entire market capitalisation lower to ₦950.66 billion from ₦960.88 billion last week.

There was a 67.22% decrease in the total value traded, according to trading data from the OTC market. Investors traded a total of ₦41,932,263.68 in value compared to ₦127,902,975.00 in the previous week. #

Total trade activity for the year inched to ₦ 27,200,217,367.54 while the total volume traded last week was 1,055,228 units compared to 1,338,188 units in the previous week.

Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria Plc ranking top among the five most traded securities by volume and Niger Delta Exploration & Production Plc was the fifth most traded stock by volume traded in the week.

Also, Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria Plc ranking top among the five most traded securities by value and 11Plc stood as the fifth most traded Security by value for the week.

Year to date, the NASD OTC Securities Exchange market closed on a negative note over a decline in market performance.

Trading data indicates that the NASD Security Index year-to-date returns decreased by 2.79% as the total volume traded Year-to-Date settled at 3,485,793,219 units in 2,309 deals and the total value traded printed at ₦27,200,217,367.54. # NASD Securities Exchange Falls to N950.66bn
