Airtel Africa, Xtelify Partner to Drive Digital Transformation

Xtelify, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, has entered a multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership with Airtel Africa to accelerate digital transformation across the continent.

This is contained in a statement on Monday by Airtel Africa’s Vice-President, Communications and CSR, Mr Emeka Oparah.

Binod Srivastava, Chief Business Officer, Global Business, Bharti Airtel, said the firm was excited to collaborate with Airtel Africa on digital innovation.

He said the deal would address industry challenges, including spam and fraud, while also prioritising strong customer protection across all operating markets.

As part of the deal, Xtelify will deploy its software platforms—Data Engine, Work, and IQ—across Airtel Africa’s operational landscape.

Srivastava said Xtelify’s Data Engine and Work would equip Airtel Africa’s 150,000-strong field workforce in 14 countries with insight-driven, micro-targeted strategies.

He added that this would also unlock key use cases such as customer spam protection and anti-fraud solutions throughout the continent.

According to Srivastava, Xtelify’s IQ platform will ensure secure, real-time, omnichannel engagement to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.

Jacques Barkhuizen, Group Chief Information Officer, Airtel Africa, said the partnership represents a transformative step in building Africa’s digital future.

He said Airtel would leverage its AI platforms—already proven in India—to streamline operations and deliver hyper-personalised customer experiences

“This synergy with Xtelify will fuel sustainable growth, innovation, and added value across our 14 African markets,” Barkhuizen said.

He noted that the Xtelify platform spans the telecom value chain, combining AI-led insights, real-time workforce tools, and customer journey management.

Barkhuizen added that the solution would help reduce operational complexity, improve customer focus, reduce churn, and raise Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).

He also announced the launch of Airtel Cloud, a sovereign, telco-grade cloud platform developed by Xtelify.

Originally designed to process 1.4 billion transactions per minute in India, the platform is now being scaled to meet evolving business demands. #Airtel Africa, Xtelify Partner to Drive Digital Transformation#
