Eastern Ports Set for Investment Boost as Dantsoho Tours Onne and Rivers Port Complexes

In a bid to increase investment in Nigeria’s port infrastructure, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, recently embarked on a tour of the Onne and Rivers Port Complexes . This move is part of the current administration’s efforts to enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness in vessel and cargo traffic, catering to the needs of the country’s vast population of over 200 million.

During the tour, which took place on December 4th and 5th, 2024, Dr. Dantsoho emphasized the need for increased investment in port infrastructure to attract larger vessels and boost cargo throughput . He also encouraged investors to take advantage of the investor-friendly environment fostered by President Bola Tinubu, assuring them of guaranteed returns on investment .

The tour covered several key terminals, including BRAWAL Oil Services Ltd, Onne Multipurpose Terminal, INTELS, INDORAMA, West African Container Terminal (WACT), and NOTORE . Dr. Dantsoho’s visit is expected to have a positive impact on the Eastern ports, paving the way for increased investment and economic growth .

As the newly elected President of the Port Management Association of West & Central Africa (PMAWCA), Dr. Dantsoho is well-positioned to drive investment and growth in Nigeria’s port sector . With the government’s support, the NPA is poised to create an enabling environment for investment, ultimately boosting Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global maritime industry .#Eastern Ports Set for Investment Boost as Dantsoho Tours Onne and Rivers Port Complexes#
