XRP Rises on BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust Inflow Optimism

Ripple (XRP) price rose 2.38% to $1.33 on Tuesday, outperforming a broadly positive crypto market primarily driven by a beta-led move following strong institutional Bitcoin exchange traded fund (ETF) inflows.

XRP tracked a broader market rally fueled by a $665 million single-day inflow into BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF. Crypto analyst said altcoin sector rotation and a technical bounce from oversold conditions, supported by a 32% spike in trading volume.

The entire crypto market cap rose 1.56%, with Bitcoin up 0.93%. XRP’s stronger gain suggests it leveraged this beta momentum, amplified by news of BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) attracting its largest daily inflow of 2026.

This signals resilient institutional demand spilling into major altcoins. XRP’s move was less about its own news and more about capital flowing into crypto’s largest asset, lifting the tide for correlated tokens.

The altcoin market cap increased 1.64%, indicating rotational buying. Technically, XRP’s Relative Strenght Index (RSI) at 76.8 suggests it was rebounding from near-oversold territory, with rising volume confirming the move.

The rally was aided by a broader risk-on shift toward altcoins and short-term buying after recent weakness. The key near-term trigger is the potential activation of the XRPL’s fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment around 23 October.

Traders said if XRP holds above the $1.28-$1.30 support (recent swing low and Fibonacci 78.6% level), the next target is $1.34-$1.37.

A decisive break below $1.28 could see a test of $1.20. The structure remains range-bound between $1.28 support and $1.37 resistance, needing a catalyst for a definitive breakout.

Technical traders said price action around the $1.37 level and validator support for the upcoming network amendment. XRP’s gain is primarily a beta play on strong Bitcoin ETF inflows, with technical and sector rotation providing secondary support.

Blockchain.com expanded its derivatives suite by launching buy-only options trading. XRP is among seven assets available, with contracts settling in USDC and expiries capped at one week.

This follows the company’s perpetual futures rollout earlier in 2026 and a pending CFTC registration to serve US customers.

Meanwhile, Ripple-backed Evernorth filed a prospectus covering up to 11.5 million shares issuable upon warrant exercise, potentially raising about $132.2 million for general corporate purposes. The filing does not allocate proceeds for XRP purchases.

Ripple Prime joined a DTCC working group with over 50 firms to explore tokenizing securities. The initiative involves over $114 trillion in assets but does not mean DTCC will use XRP or the XRP Ledger.

It enhances Ripple’s institutional credibility and potential for future integration, but it does not create immediate demand for the token. Separately, a bug-fix amendment for the XRP Ledger is set to activate around October 23.
