Nigeria Savings Bond Offer Opens at 13.25% and 14.25%

Nigeria has opened subscriptions for its November 2026 Federal Government Savings Bond offer, with annual interest rates of 13.250 per cent for the two-year bond and 14.250 per cent for the three-year bond.

The offer closes on Friday, November 6, 2026, with settlement scheduled for November 11, 2026. Investors can subscribe with a minimum investment of ₦5,000.

Market analysts said Nigeria’s two-year bond matures on November 11, 2028, while the three-year bond matures on November 11, 2029.

Both instruments carry fixed interest rates, with coupon payments made quarterly on February 11, May 11, August 11 and November 11.

According to the offer details, the bonds provide tax-free interest income backed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The fixed quarterly payments offer investors a predictable income stream over their chosen investment period.

The bonds will also be listed and tradable on the Nigerian Exchange, giving investors an avenue to sell before maturity. Holders can use them as loan collateral, market analysts said.

While federal government backing supports the bonds’ creditworthiness, investors seeking to sell before maturity should note that market prices may differ from their original investment.
