MTN’s Digital Expansion Boosts Opportunities for CWG and Chams

As MTN Nigeria accelerates the expansion of its data centres and nationwide fibre infrastructure, the telecommunications giant will continue to rely on long-standing technology partners to sustain its operational and digital growth strategy.

Two of the key beneficiaries of this ecosystem are Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) and Chams, both of which provide critical support services aligned with MTN’s evolving technology and fintech ambitions.

CWG remains an important technology infrastructure partner to MTN, delivering enterprise IT services that underpin telecom operations. These services include data center support, systems integration, enterprise software solutions, and network infrastructure management capabilities that are increasingly vital as MTN scales its digital platforms and broadband footprint.

At the same time, Chams plays a complementary role in MTN’s digital services ecosystem. The company provides identity management and payment technology solutions that support the telecom operator’s fintech expansion, particularly in areas related to secure digital identity, SIM card production, and transaction platforms linked to mobile financial services.

The collaboration highlights a mutually reinforcing business relationship. As MTN grows its telecommunications and financial technology offerings, both CWG and Chams are positioned to benefit from increased demand for software services, infrastructure support, and identity-driven digital solutions.

For MTN, leveraging domestic technology partners enhances operational efficiency and strengthens local capacity in Nigeria’s technology sector. For CWG and Chams, the relationship with one of Africa’s largest telecom operators offers a steady platform for revenue growth and deeper integration into the country’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

In effect, the partnership represents a strategic alignment one in which MTN’s network expansion and fintech ambitions continue to create opportunities for local technology providers to scale alongside the telecom leader. #MTN’s Digital Expansion Boosts Opportunities for CWG and Chams#
