Minister of Power Bayo Adelabu Officially Declares Governorship Ambition for Oyo State

Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu, has declared his intention to contest the Oyo State governorship seat in the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made during strategic meetings with key All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Ogbomoso and Oyo zones.

Adelabu expressed confidence in his ability to compete and emerge victorious, stating, “I’m up to the task. I want to demonstrate my ability to compete and emerge victorious”. He also appealed for unity and forgiveness from aggrieved party members, emphasizing the need for the party to return to power in 2027.

The minister’s meetings with APC leaders and stakeholders were part of his consultations across geopolitical zones in Oyo State towards realizing his governorship ambition. Adelabu believes his ambition doesn’t oppose any other zone’s aspiration and trusts in divine timing, saying, “God’s time is the best”.

Adelabu’s governorship bid is driven by his desire to apply the experiences gained from past elections. He stated, “I’m here to announce my intention to run for governor of Oyo State in 2027. I’m ready to apply the experiences I’ve gained from the past two elections” #Minister of Power Bayo Adelabu Officially Declares Governorship Ambition for Oyo State#
