HBAR Price Moves Higher Ahead of Hedera Testnet Upgrade

Hedera (HBAR) price climbed 100 basis points to $0.0720 ahead of the Testnet upgrade, closely tracking a modest rebound in the broader crypto market on Sunday.

Buying interest followed Hedera’s announcement of a testnet upgrade to version 0.79 on November 4, 2026. The process is expected to take about 40 minutes and may cause temporary service disruption.

This is standard procedure to test new features and fixes before deploying them to the mainnet.

This is neutral for HBAR and reflects ongoing network maintenance and development. Successful upgrades reinforce technical reliability, but the immediate market impact is typically minimal.

HBAR’s 24h gain closely mirrored Bitcoin’s +0.82% rise, indicating the move was driven by broader market sentiment rather than HBAR-specific news.

The total crypto market cap increased 0.60%, suggesting a tentative recovery from the risk aversion triggered by the recent Binance security breach.

HBAR’s price action remains heavily influenced by general crypto market flows, especially Bitcoin’s direction. The price rise coincides with deeply oversold readings; the 14-day RSI at 33.39 suggests short-term selling pressure may be exhausted, allowing a minor relief bounce.

The uptick lacks high-volume confirmation (24h volume down 42%), indicating weak buying conviction and that this may be a temporary technical correction within a larger downtrend.

The immediate trend is defined by the recent swing low at $0.0673 (support) and the 7-day Simple Moving Average at $0.0741 (resistance).

If Bitcoin stabilizes above $77,000, HBAR could attempt to reclaim the $0.0741 level. However, a break below $0.0673 support would signal a resumption of the bearish trend, potentially targeting lower levels.

The outlook is neutral to cautiously bullish, contingent on holding key support. Traders are monitoring whether buying volume increases on a push toward $0.0741, which would signal stronger momentum.

HBAR’s minor gain reflects a market-beta bounce and oversold relief, not a fundamental shift. The coin remains in a broader downtrend and needs to reclaim higher resistance levels to suggest a reversal. XRP is down 0.71% to $1.25 as Open Interest Falls
