Cardano Extends Rally on RealFi Launch, Payments Partnership

Cardano (ADA) rally extended after RealFi launch and a key payment partnership that boosted buying interest in the crypto exchange on Friday, traders said.

The altcoin has gained 30% in one month, according to data from a cryptocurrency exchange. Up by 3% over the last 24 hours, Cardano is trading at $0.2530 with a 24-hour trading volume of $659,682,705.

With a 27% spike in trading volume that pushed transaction value to $659 million over the last 24 hours, analysts said Cardano’s October is off to a busy start with a major DeFi launch and a key payments partnership.

The RealFi protocol went live on Cardano mainnet, introducing the USDrf stablecoin and its yield-bearing counterpart, sUSDrf. Backed by a portfolio of real-world assets like Treasuries and private credit, it aims to channel idle stablecoin capital into productive lending.

Retail access is via decentralised exchanges, while institutions have direct minting/redemption rights. This is bullish for ADA because it directly targets Cardano’s shrinking DeFi total value locked (TVL), potentially attracting new capital and increasing network utility.

However, success depends on adoption and the stability of its underlying reserves. Cardano set a second consecutive daily record, processing 43,181 transactions on October 1—a 29% increase from the previous day.

This activity significantly exceeded the network’s 2026 daily average of around 25,000 transactions. This is a neutral-to-bullish signal for ADA.

Surging on-chain activity reflects growing use, which is a fundamental positive. For a sustained price impact, this heightened usage needs to be coupled with consistent buying volume and network fee generation.

Recently, the Cardano Foundation became a member of Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program. The collaboration will focus on the Blockchains track, developing solutions for cross-border payments, B2B settlement, and stablecoin interoperability.

This is bullish for ADA as it represents a significant institutional endorsement and a concrete step toward integrating Cardano into mainstream global payment rails, potentially driving long-term demand and legitimacy.

Cardano is actively executing a dual strategy: boosting its core DeFi ecosystem with real-world asset products while forging high-profile partnerships to bridge into traditional finance.
