Ava Capital Limited, an integrated financial services group, topped the gainers chart on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) with more than 33% price appreciation over the last five trading sessions.

The group’s market value surged to N5 billion, a few days after listing on the Nigerian Exchange trading platform by introduction at the N37.5 billion valuation.

The recently listed financial services company’s share price surged to N11 at the close of the trading session on Friday, up from N8.45 at the beginning of the week.

The company came into the Nigerian Exchange at N7.50 in July and has seen sustained re-rating in August on improved trading activities.

Transactions on AVA Capital shares were significant, with trading volume ranging between 6.169 million and 41.925 million units, suggesting robust investors’ appetite for the financial services company.

The Group reported ₦3.46 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026, reflecting a substantial expansion in business activities, driven by three major income streams, with Interest Income being the largest contributor.

AVA Capital revenue rose 4.4x in H1 2026 (₦1.20 billion), from ₦274.67 million in H1 2025, mainly supported by increased Fees and Commission Income, demonstrating the Company’s growing ability to originate and execute higher-value transactions while deepening client relationships.

It reported a remarkable improvement in profitability, with PBT margin improving to 71.3% from 33.6% in H1 2025, and net profit margin improving to 52.7% from 24.9%, demonstrating the scalability of the company’s business model, earnings quality, and disciplined cost management.

The Group’s Total Assets at H1 2026 increased by 5.8x to ₦110.96 billion (from ₦19.14 billion at FY 2025), driven by growth in client funds and growth in financial assets held for investment, reinforcing the Group’s strong liquidity position and capacity to support future growth initiatives.
