    Andela Launches Platform for Hiring

Andela, a global marketplace for technical talent, says it has launched a new platform, that creates a more direct, personalised and successful hiring experience for both talents and recruiters.

Mr Jeremy Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Andela, in a statement, said the new customised platform would help talent find jobs that match more than just their technical skills.

He said: “Amazon, Apple and Netflix have changed every aspect of our lives — from how we shop to how we consume culture and everything in between.

Johnson said that as a result, personalisation has become a basic expectation. He said the platform would also work well for recruiters, noting that instead of wasting time sifting through resumes and screening calls, the platform identifies talent that fits their exact needs.

“Andela is a global talent network that connects companies with vetted, remote technical talent in emerging markets.

“The company’s new platform uses data-driven technology and algorithms to make smart match recommendations, instantly.

“With no lengthy contract periods or unnecessary calls with sales teams, the platform cuts down the time it takes for hiring managers and recruiters to move through the hiring lifecycle, “Johnson said.

He said that alongside the new platform, Andela would be revealing a new visual brand identity meant to better reflect the evolution of both the company as well as the global talent industry that it has helped to spawn.

He said: “It is always hard to change a brand that has become iconic. In many ways, Andela’s brand has been a source of inspiration to software developers around the world who share our belief that brilliance is evenly distributed.

Johnson, however, said that brands have to evolve alongside the companies they represent.

Agnes Muthoni, Director, Andela Learning Community, said “Our data-driven approach to connecting talent with global opportunities now offers personalised and bespoke experiences for recruiters and candidates alike.

Muthoni said that talents could now choose offerings that better suit their skills and lifestyle, while recruiters could quickly identify and hire candidates with the right skills and experience for their organisation in as little as 48 hours.

She said: “To get started on the new platform, hiring managers simply need to create a company profile, post a job, and can see their curated candidates instantly.

Muthoni said that Andela’s matching accounts for depth and breadth of skill requirements, time zone and working hours overlapped industry expertise and team fit.

“Today, the company is expanding its offering to include high-quality talent matching in new practice areas such as design, data, and product management,” she said. #Andela Launches Platform for Hiring
